David's Godfather Blog: Week 5:Archetypes
In relation to the Golden Spruce, it could be said that Grant Hadwin was a hero. This archetype is described as someone who's life is a series of well-marked adventures and endures hardship, even risk his life for the good of all. Hadwin was hero because he cut down a the Golden Spruce. This doing was heroic because it helped the Haida people focus less on a tree, but more on life. This is important because it shows how a hero can stand up for what he or she believes in, even if it may result in death. This is the same for Michael in the Godfather. He continues to lead the family business which in the end will cost him his life.

David's Godfather Blog: Week 3: The Human Condition
When discussing The Godfather the effect of family is always an important piece. While watching the last part of the movie, I saw that Santino and Michael havesome similar traits. The passion that they both have for the family is quite evident. Also, another thing that I noticed about the two is that people listen to them when they talk, even though sometimes their ideas may be far fetched. The work that has characters that are similar to Santino and Michael are Viola and Sebastian in Twelfth Night. The most oblivious similarity between the two is that they are twins. Another similarities between these two characters is that they have the same taste in women ? Well, overall it can be said that from these two works, the relationships that are had between siblings are something special.
